M.Yu. Golovnin (born in 1978) graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University (bachelor’s degree, 1998; master’s degree, 2000); Dr.Sci.(Econ.) (2011).
Research interests: monetary policy, financial globalization, economic integration. Author of more than 90 publications, mainly on external shocks for the Russian economy, monetary policy of Russia and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe in the context of financial globalization, monetary and financial integration in the post-Soviet space.
Professor at the Department of General Economic Theory, Moscow School of Economics, Lomonosov Moscow State University. Teaches courses “World economy” and “Economic policy” (section “Monetary policy”).
Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board of the New Economic Association.
Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of the New Economic Association, member of the editorial boards of the journals “Eurasian Economic Integration” (“Evraziiskaya ekonomicheskaya integratsiya”), “The World of Transformations”, member of the editorial board of the journal “Bulletin of the Institute of Economics of the Russian Academy of Sciences”.
